Terrorism A Real Enemy

Even if we don't want it our world view has changed quite a bit from say just 30 years ago. We now live in the digital age where information can travel around the world in milliseconds. If something tragic happens in Malaysa we know about it here in the Untied States pretty much instantaneously. Obviously this has some advantages, but it also has some very real disadvantages. As we all know, introduced to us all in the 21st century is the threat of terrorism. There is this extreme branch of Muslims who practice the religion of Islam who despise the west. Now as a point of clarification I should point out that Muslims are not the only terrorist. However they seem be getting quite a bit of attention these days because they commit a very high percentage of the terrorist acts.They have committed their lives to the idea of Jihad. What is Jihad? Jihad by definition is a Holy war waged on the behalf of Islam as a religious duty. To fully have some understanding of the people who practice this, perhaps we should take into account their genealogical history. First I should explain that the creationist view of their genealogy is going to be different than a evolutionist point of view. Since I believe in creationism that is the perspective I will be conferring to today. Abraham considered one the main patriarchs of the human race fathered a child with one of his servants Haggar. For those of us who know the biblical account we know this union had disastrous results for the human genealogy. Abraham actually had two sons. His second born son to his wife Sara was of course Isaac. This birth had Gods blessing and as religionist know is the race of people from which the Jews originated. The son he had with haggar on the other hand eventually received Gods blessing as well. he would still be considered an illegitimate son, his name was Ishmael. God informed Abraham and Sara that he would bless Isaac and all of his descendants. He also informed Haggar that he would bless Ishmael's descendants. An angel of the lord appeared to haggar in the desert and told her, in Genesis 16:-12 that your son will be a wild man; his hand will be against every man; and every man's hand against him; and he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren. My point is simply this, taking into account this biblical explanation of human history we have a logical explanation for Muslims repeated acts of violence as it relates to terrorism. Another piece of Irony to this story is, that the very race of people that the Arabs despise so intensely, the Jews, they are related to through blood. They all have the same biological father Abraham. Now evolutionist and the scientific community would laugh at this account of our world and some of the terrorist that are in it. In my mind their laughter doesn't really matter. The fact of the matter is, terrorist are real. We know they are real because we get a daily accounting of their deeds in the news everyday, and because we live in the digital age their ability to reach out and touch us is becoming more enhanced everyday. I would predict that this problem is not going to go away any time soon in our future. Just as a woman has birth pains I believe as more time gos by these acts are going to become more intense not the opposite. The United states can attack this problem with all of the military might we possess, but until God resolves the circumstances that help to create it, This problem is going to escalate and we may never experience a world where this is not a problem for ours and future generations.

This post was written on the date indicated which is June 30th 2010 there was not a rain cloud in the sky. But for most of the early summer here in Des monies Iowa it has been raining cats and dogs as they like to say. In today's world there are a lot of signs that indicate we are in the last days. For those individuals who don't know Christ this can be a disturbing conversation. Even for those of us who claim to be saved and know the Lord for ourselves there is something unsettling about this topic as well.
