Its All Good

Today is a new day. For me that means we have another opportunity to put our best foot forward. The world we live in is full of trials and tribulations. Most times we don't get to pick what those are. But what we do get to to decide is what to do with the time that God has given us, to me that means we can always remain hopeful no matter what. There are times when I am thinking about the content of my blog i try to select a topic that a lot of people can relate to. I try to keep it as generic as I possibly can, but I realize there are times when I fail at that. There are times when I know the topics I choose to address my be offensive to some people. My life experience is that of an African American. So obviously the position I choose to take on some of my topics will be from that perspective. I shouldn't have to apologize for that. But I am not insensitive to the need to word my positions so that I speak for all Americans not just African Americans. The bible says the truth will set you free and so that is where I try to begin my dialogue from a position of truth.

As a born again christian I am required to love my neighbor as myself. I am required to live by the golden rule to treat others the way that I in turn would like to be treated. I would like to believe that my life exemplifies this, and so everyday I work very hard at making that my rule of thumb of how I interact with my fellow man. To do anything less than that is unacceptable. I believe with all of my heart that to experience love in the fullness of how we are to love we must learn to simple do just that; love. We must learn to love each other not based on some condition or circumstance, but simply because we can love. Its that simply. You can only experience love at its best, by how you give it to others not how you in turn will receive it. If mankind could only grasp this concept the world would be a much better place.

"Its all good" is an urban phrase derived to mean, "that despite any possible doubt everything is still cool." So yes I write my blog from the perspective of an African American. Sometimes the topics I cover are sensitive in nature. The position I take on them is sometimes controversial. But my intentions are pure, I am simply trying to shed light on a topic that I believe needs to be discussed. I also always try to keep it in context with scripture as my guide for the resolution of the problem. So if someone has taken my views and concluded that I am pro black that is not my intent. I apologize. I want to make the world a better place by having an open, frank and candid conversation about the important issues of our day. As the old adage says charge it to my head and not my heart, because I believe it is in the right place, operating from a position of love. "Its all Good."
