Fit in 2010

Ok folks 2009 is gone we have lived, loved, laughed, cried, mourned and celebrated. For those of you who do such things we ended the year drinking socializing and partying with family and friends. Over the holidays you've probably put on a few extra pounds and as new Years resolution you have decided to kick a few bad habits out of your life. I have been a smoker for over 25 years of my adult life. My New years resolution is to finally quit smoking this year. Just last week I went on line to this site called your real age. Its a site where you can go and input your personal life style information. The results will be that it will tell you your life style age verses what your real age is. I currently just turned 50 years old. After inputting all of my information my test results indicate that I was about 53.6 years old. It emphasized the importance of a healthy diet and how exercise is key to living a long healthy life. On both sides of my family the adults have lived well past their 70's. In the bible we call that three score and ten. So providing i make intuitive decisions regarding my life style choices over the latter part of my life, it is a very real possibility that i can get another 25 years out of this deteriorating body of mine. I do realize that it is the latter part of my life you know. What I mean by that is that is I have lived more years now that I probably have left. So my advise for a healthier lifestyle for 2010 is concentrating on our daily diet and implementing an exercise routine in our weekly schedule. Stress has a very powerful negative effect on the body. It causes the buildup of acids that can be detrimental to overall well being. Doctors recommend controlling the build up of these fluids through a healthy exercise routine. We also want to try an keep the negative emotions such as anger, sadness, and resentment at a minimum in your life. Exercise can help alleviate and offset the effects of these negatives in our lives. As most of us know stress is the resounding result of these negatives.
When we exercise we feel better. This happens as result of neurotransmitters being released that helps to mediate our moods. So 2010 is here folks most people my age have some life forming habits that are not good for them. Some of them we might want to get rid of in 2010. For me it has been smoking and some other nasty habits that I won't discuss right now, more about that later. What is it for you? Take the time to examine these areas in your life while the year is still young. Make a commitment to get rid of those habits that can shorten your life span. Include those that can give you quality of life and make you feel better overall. Exercise and diet should be at the top of your list of priorities for 2010.
