God Is!

  We live in a world where God is being pushed further and further from the center of peopl'es lives. Why is that? We know that the founding fathers kept their faith and religous beliefs at the center of their Quest for Independance. when they were writing the constitution. Yet today there are elements of our society that seems to have no legitmate use for prayer or religion and the useful purpose it can play in our lives. We are more concerned, it would seem with violating the rights of those who choose to have religous beliefs than those who don't. We have advocates for the rights of athiest and gays. but no one seem to care about prayer in schools. I am not suggesting that athiest and gays should not have advocates because they should. I think religion should also have equal billing.

  What is the world coming to? It would seem that as more and more time elapses our world is becoming more condemed everyday. Even now as I speak God is pouring out his wrath on this sometime God forsaken world. The bible says; "Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow is the road that leads to life, and few find it. So even though our society has a tendancy to live as if God does not exist, this is not the case. Sometimes as evidence of this all we have to do is reach up and touch the nose on our faces. You can feel your nose. Well God is a s real as the nose on your face, and so is your advesary the devil.
So how should we live our lifes? I believe trying to serve God who is real and who one day soon is gonna send his one and only Jesus Christ back to judge the world.

This post was written on the date indicated which is June 30th 2010 there was not a rain cloud in the sky. But for most of the early summer here in Des monies Iowa it has been raining cats and dogs as they like to say. Its has rained so frequently in recent weeks that there is now concern here in Iowa for major flooding in the main tributaries of the Des monies river basin. It is reminiscent of the floods of 1993 and 2008 that happened here in the Midwest. The 1993 flood was considered a 100 year flood. The flood in 2008 was bad, but not as bad as 1993. The fact is these were very adverse circumstances that the communities who suffered them had to overcome. Water in the form of a flood is a very powerful and destructive force. In today's world there are a lot of signs that indicate we are in the last days. For those individuals who don't know Christ this can be a disturbing conversation. Even for those of us who claim to be saved and know the Lord for ourselves there is something unsettling about this topic as well. One of the most prominent reasons is that most of us don't know enough about Gods word or truth on the subject to make an informed decision. For those of us who live in colder climates, it can be come a real challenge to remain upbeat and not depressed during winter time. There is also a clinical condition called SAD or Seasonal Affective Disorder or post holiday depression. it is attributable to the anxiety we feel because the days are so overcast and gloomy.
