Beyond Gods Grace

As Christians we know that god is merciful and kind, and faithful to forgive us of our sins when we repent with a sincere heart. The question I would like to pose for this topic is, can we ever be beyond God's ability to redeem us. To be perfectly clear once we commit our lives to Christ we are sealed by receiving the holy spirit. This means we can stand on the promise. Just as God through his promise to Abraham promised to make him a father of many nations. He has also promised us who are saved that we will be kept until the great day of redemption, where if we have been faithful we shall receive the crown of life. The gift of eternal life. As it says in Matthew 19:26 ,"And looking at them Jesus said to them, "With people this is impossible, but with God all things are possible." So as Christan's we can take confidence in knowing whom god has chosen to redeem will be redeemed, After all we are considered the elect which means we have been chosen or selected. What a great honor.

Now this is not the case for all of us. The bible says that our lord and savior Jesus Christ prayed that all of the apostles be kept except for the one who was lost to perdition, perdition means lost of the soul to eternal damnation. I am talking about Judas Iscariot. Judas had no choice that he was born Judas yet his fate after betraying our lord and savior Jesus Christ is clear. It says in the book of acts 1:18-19, "Now this man acquired a field with the price of his wickedness, and falling headlong, he burst open in the middle and all his intestines gushed out. 19And it became known to all who were living in Jerusalem; so that in their own language that field was called Hakeldama, that is, Field of Blood.) We also know until we receive Jesus as our lord and savior over our lives we are under the law of disobedience enslaved to sin. This puts us beyond Gods grace. Matthew 7:13-14 says “Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. 14 “For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it." The unfortunate circumstance about mans condition as it relates to all of this is everyone who hears god message or the good news will not receive it. For 1 Corinthians 1:18 says, "The message of the cross is foolish to those who are headed for destruction! But we who are being saved know it is the very power of God.

So are there people in the human race who are beyond Gods grace? Unfortunately yes. Not by Gods choosing but by their own choices. God has extended his plan of eternal live to all human beings. It is my believe that one of the most important decisions we will ever have to make as a human being is where we are going to spend eternity. God through his grace has provided all of us with the opportunity to avoid this terrible fate. It is entirely up to the individual. 2 Chronicles 7: 14 says, "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. So the choice is ours to make. Wisdom is knowledge used for its intended purpose. Be wise seek God and live.
